The Apollo Circle is a special membership group for donors in their 20s and 30s, and currently has approximately 420 members.
Test copy about the special group, I want to see how the paragraph text looks underneath. What color will it be?
The Museum hosts 10-14 events annually exclusive to Apollo Circle members and the format is usually an evening reception with a presentation or tour by a curator.
There are about 100 attendees at each event and members enjoy both the social and educational components. In addition, members receive invitations to about 5 general Membership evening receptions.
As the world’s greatest encyclopedic museum, the Met’s collection encompasses over 2 million works of art spanning 5,000 years.
Our 17 curatorial departments contain works in various media from around the globe and virtually every culture…from objects created in ancient Egypt to a stunningly-handcrafted D’Aquisto arch-top guitar donated to the Museum by rock legend Steve Miller.
Over the next several years, the Met’s display of modern and contemporary art will be enhanced via our lease of the Whitney Museum’s Breuer building. At the same time, we’re expanding our European Paintings galleries, and have, in the past year, opened beautifully renovated galleries for Islamic and American Art.
We offer more than 25,000 education programs each year to an audience that ranges from schoolchildren to senior citizens.
Our revitalized Concerts and Lectures programming offers an array of traditional and cutting programming, ranging from performances of classical music to an artist-in-residency program that this year features DJ Spooky.
The Met’s rapidly expanding digital presence is among the best in the art world: images of objects in the collection, information about programs and exhibitions, and important scholarship are all available to anyone with access to the web.
